  • Boise School District Reconsideration Policy/Procedure

I'm really proud of our procedure for reconsideration. Before pulling books from the curriculum or library, we have very specific steps to take, including pulling together an evaluation team comprising many different community members. We send these documents, along with the reconsideration form, out to principals and librarians at the beginning of the year to remind them how to handle parent concerns. We are proud not to have had a formal challenge since the early '90s! You can find these documents here: Reconsideration Policy: https://goo.gl/aVa1Sw Reconsideration Procedure: https://goo.gl/R3aG5z
