    Description: The City of Caldwell Public Library has an opening for a part time Circulation Assistant. Ability to stand for long periods of time, to stoop and to lift weight up to 10 lbs. Schedule varies and includes evening and weekend hours. Must possess good interpersonal skills and have the ability to effectively communicate with other City employees and the general public. Subject to a pre-employment drug test and back ground check.

    Responsibilities: Individual performs a variety of tasks related to routine circulation, shelf maintenance and clerical functions at the Caldwell Public Library. Tasks include check-in and check-out of library resources; shelves resources, inputs data, issues, library cards, and collects monies; assesses the condition of library resources; maintains a daily pull list and fills patron requests; and assists patrons with signups of public computers, renewals, account issues, library holdings, and general information.

    Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of a GED; and knowledge or previous experience in library services; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
